• Welding of Reinforcing Steel according to ISO 17660

Given the external shape and the various methods of production, very specific skills and expertise are required to weld reinforcing steel. A welding workshop that offers the welding of reinforcing steel in a workshop or on a building site needs to be qualified according to ISO 17660, part 1 for load-bearing welded joints or part 2 for non-load bearing welded joints.

This series of standards specifies the requirements that materials, welded joints and welders have to meet and defines the welding quality requirements according to ISO 3834 parts 3 and 4.
